This was a very cool tattoo to work on. The client and I had been keeping in touch, back and forth conversations regarding the tattoo he wanted for the last couple of months, before he finally decided with an idea. Firstly, he was great to work with, and he listened to my concerns, and gave me a lot of creative freedom to bring this idea to life. He wanted a sleeve that would show his love for his son, and he wanted to make it sentimental, using pocket watch and lotus flowers, while mixing it with the Filipino tribal pattern to show his heritage. The direction was simple and I think the hardest part was pretty much getting familiar with the Filipino tribal look, and once I got the hang of it, it was very straightforward. The actual design is large, nearly 19" h, so there was a ton of work hours here, haha. But nevertheless, Im happy with how it turned out. He was very happy as well, calling it "simply perfect". :)))
